RF Microneedling

 

Radiofrequency microneedling is an advanced microneedling technique that combines standard microneedling with radiofrequency energy. It is performed much like traditional microneedling, but offers additional benefits. During the microneedling process, the needles will also deliver radiofrequency heat that will significantly boost the body’s healing response and collagen and elastin production.

The Procedure

As the handheld Pixel-8 device passes over the skin, its tiny needles simultaneously puncture the skin and deliver RF energy to the dermal layers beneath. Your provider can customize your treatment to address your skin’s unique needs.

How Many Treatments Are Needed?

Many people enjoy a noticeable improvement in their skin after their first RF microneedling treatment. However, depending on their desired results, some people may need 3 to 5 total treatments. Those with mild concerns may be satisfied with 3 treatments, for example, while those with scarring may need 5 or 6 treatments. After the initial series of treatments, annual touch-up sessions help maintain a smooth, supple, and evenly toned complexion.

Does RF Microneedling hurt?

Combining topical numbing and the cooling technology ensures patient comfort during RF microneedling with PiXel8-RF. Most patients report little or no discomfort during the Pixel8-RF procedure. After your treatment, you may experience some tenderness, similar to what a mild sunburn feels like.

Recovery & Results

As with standard microneedling, you can expect a couple of days of mild redness and swelling after a RF microneedling treatment. Your skin may begin to feel tighter within just a few days, but most results gradually appear as dermal remodelling progresses. It may take 2 or 3 months to see your full results.

  • Body Treatments start at $1000 per single session but price will vary by size of treatment area and if purchasing a single session vs a series of treatments
